This week Converge 09 was on the agenda, if you’re unaware of what Converge is, it is an annual Victorian eLearning conference hosted by eWorks, it was an honor this year that Chisholm Institute of Technology was hosting some of the workshops of this years conference. The central topic of this year’s conference was Create Stimulate Integrate.
The two day event was being held at the Frankston Arts Centre and Chisholms Frankston Campus.
This years keynote speakers included ICT Innovations Leader Andrew Douch such an inspirational speaker and certainly gave food for thought in eLearning and engaging students with the use of ICT.
Some well equipped workshops were also running through out Converge, many of which were based upon projects and cases studies done throughout the year including my own on an Online Induction in Virtual Enterprises which was a joint project with Virtual Enterprise Australia.
Much social networking was achieved throughout the conference with the use of Twitter, Google Wave and Ning as the primary areas of online communication.
Converge certainly was once again an educational experience in eLearning and only gets better year after year. Very much looking forward to Converge 10
