2009 a Year in Review

The first decade of the 21st century is coming to a close.  A busy year indeed!  This year has seen great changes in my private and professional life and I aim to gain higher gains in 2010.

This year I have gained a deeper appreciation for the work I do and I feel I’ve made steps to further my career in an area that interests me and next year looks to be as challenging and exciting as the years that have come before.

This year I had the opportunity to work on a project that pushed me to new limits … intellectually and emotionally, the development of an online induction program for Virtual Enterprises certainly gave me alot of food for thought in how users need to absorb information, the skills I can take away from the project will be a great benefit to my units and students in 2010 … I am also looking forward to creating my own instructional videos with my new Mino HD Flip Camera.

I certainly  travelled a fair bit this year … much of it for work in which I had the opportunity to network with great minds and professionals in similar fields of interest, I have a wealth of information to use next year.

This year, I have had an amazing cohort of students in my units and I look forward to seeing them back in 2010 and wish all the best to those who are moving on to new ventures.

My personal life has been fruitful and enriching, proposing to my better half certainly fulfilling; there will be wedding bells in 2010 … But with great moments in life also comes the sad with the passing of family members near and far, but life goes on and we keep the memories of those who have passed with us as we live life to the fullest.
